CentOS7 – Setting Static IP (Persistent)

Say your device name is ifcfg-eth0
Edit/create  /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0, enter:

# cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

Sample static ip configuration:

DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static
DHCPCLASS=
HWADDR=00:30:48:56:A6:2E
IPADDR=192.168.1.10
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
ONBOOT=yes

Reboot, and type ifconfig – you should see the network being assigned the static ip.
